Carunchio is a municipality in the province of Chieti in Abruzzo and it is a small village rich in historical, artistic and cultural beauty
The historic centre of Carunchio tells its story through the fortified buildings lining its streets, it is also characterised by the presence of several churches
Carunchio is a land rich in flavours and delicacies of Abruzzo cuisine. A local product is Ventricina, a salami typical of some towns in the upper Vasto area, for which Carunchio enjoys a good reputation as one of the best artisan producers
